How long does the whole treatment take?

A full appointment usually takes 1–3 hours. It’s not a “quick in and out” — I spend most of the time on what happens before the pigmentation itself: the conversation, the skin assessment and a precise design.

The pigmentation itself — the moment I apply pigment to the skin — is only part of the visit. Most of the time is preparation, which determines whether the result will be good.

The treatment step by step

1. Consultation

We start with a conversation. I ask about your expectations, examine the skin, check contraindications and together we choose a method — microblading, powder brows or another PMU technique. The consultation is free and can take place on the same day as the treatment or earlier.

2. Design (mapping)

I draw the brow shape or lip contour directly on your face — with a ruler, compass and pencil. I match it to your facial symmetry, proportions and your preferences. I only begin the treatment once you approve the design in the mirror. This is one of the most important stages.

3. Anaesthetic

I apply a numbing cream and wait 10–15 minutes. During the treatment I use a second, stronger anaesthetic. Most clients rate the discomfort at 2–4 on a scale of 10 — more on this in the article does microblading hurt.

4. Pigmentation

The treatment itself. With microblading I draw individual hairs with a manual blade; with the powder method I work with a PMU machine, building up a soft, filled-in colour. I work slowly and in layers, controlling depth and saturation.

5. Aftercare and touch-up

At the end I go over the aftercare and hand over a healing kit. Each area heals differently — you’ll find the full protocols in separate guides: brow healing, eyelid aftercare and lip healing after lip blush. After 4–6 weeks I recommend a touch-up — it is a separate, paid procedure.

What exactly is included in the price?

The price of a PMU treatment with me is a complete service — not a “first session” you have to top up. The price includes:

  • A free consultation — skin assessment, choice of method and colour
  • The design (mapping) — an individual shape drawing
  • Anaesthetic — before and during the treatment
  • The pigmentation itself — professional PMU pigments
  • An aftercare kit — everything you need for the first days

A touch-up after 4–6 weeks is a separate, paid procedure — it is not included in the price of the first treatment. You’ll find its price in the price list (the “touch-up” column). You’ll find the full prices for all treatments on the pricing page. If you’re specifically interested in microblading, I have a separate article on how much microblading costs in Wrocław and what affects the price.

Why the touch-up is necessary — and why it’s paid separately

After healing, 20–40% of the pigment washes out. This is a natural process — the skin “pushes out” some of the pigment during healing. A touch-up after 4–6 weeks fills in these gaps and improves the symmetry and saturation of the colour.

Only after the touch-up can you see the final result — which is why I recommend it to every client. It is, however, a separate procedure, paid separately (you’ll find its prices in the price list, the “touch-up” column). When asking about the treatment price, ask straight about the touch-up cost too — so you know the full cost from the start.

How to prepare for the treatment?

  1. Don’t drink coffee or alcohol on the day of the treatment (they increase sensitivity and bleeding)
  2. Stop retinol and acids on the face 7–14 days beforehand
  3. Don’t take aspirin or ibuprofen 48 hours before (if possible)
  4. Schedule the treatment outside your period — the pain threshold is higher then
  5. Come well-rested and have a light meal before the appointment
  6. Set aside the whole day with no plans — no rushing

Frequently asked questions

How long does a permanent makeup treatment take?

A full appointment usually takes 1–3 hours, including the consultation, design, anaesthetic, pigmentation and going over the aftercare.

What's included in the price of a PMU treatment?

The price includes: a free consultation, the design (mapping), anaesthetic, the pigmentation itself and an aftercare kit. A touch-up after 4–6 weeks is a separate procedure, paid separately.

Can you see the result right after the treatment?

Right after the treatment the colour is 30–50% darker and the brows may be slightly red. Judge the final result only after full healing and the touch-up — that is, after about 6–8 weeks.

Do I need to come for a separate consultation before the treatment?

You don't have to — I can do the consultation on the same day, right before the treatment. However, if you have doubts or take medication, I recommend a separate consultation in advance. It's free and with no obligation.
